Vascular Access Clinical Specialist

Scope

Rare opportunity for a high calibre, fully qualified Nurse with Vascular Access experience to join a global leading manufacturer of medical devices as a Clinical Specialist covering the UK (20% travel, company car provided).

We’re looking to speak with exceptional Nurses, ideally with experience in ICU or Critical Care, who would be interested in taking their skillset into a education and training based role. You’ll work with the sales and marketing teams to ensure customers (Nurses & other clinicians) are effectively educated on the correct use of the products and benefits by providing first-class training. You’ll also take part in events and with be responsible for building relationships with KOLs in the NHS & private healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop effective relationships with local KOLs, KIs, customers and support local Account Managers in identifying new business opportunities
  • Provide clinical support and training for internal colleagues and customers for Vascular Access portfolio
  • Lead local education opportunities in conjunction with account managers to educate the wider clinical audience
  • Develop and maintain strong product knowledge across the Vascular Access portfolio. Be the Vascular Access product expert for customers and the wider MSD team
  • Execute local and regional programs to support activation of sales and marketing campaigns
  • Influence customers and their practice using clinical and evidence-based arguments.
  • Attend industry exhibitions, study events, lunchtime meetings and any other appropriate events to drive demand for products and build loyalty with identified customers
  • Actively gather knowledge of competitor products, claims and activities and share with relevant internal team to support business development and market strategy
  • Keep up to date with relevant clinical trends & product developments in the Vascular Access space
  • Support and deliver relevant product training to internal colleagues to support education programmes as identified from global and regional initiatives
  • Complete necessary tasks to achieve efficient completion of SalesForce CRM

About You

  • Degree level and/or Nursing Qualification or similar is essential
  • An ICU/Critical Care clinical background is strongly preferred
  • Proven clinical knowledge of Vascular Access is critical
  • Demonstratable evidence of interacting with clinical customers
  • Strong communication skills
  • Travel: 20% expected across the UK
  • Role Location: Field based (UK wide)
