UK Sales Director

Ophthalmic/Ophthalmology

Scope

To join one of the fastest growing Ophthalmic business in the EMEA region, on track to achieve growth of 500% over 5 years, influence the launch of specialist-premium technology, and penetrate new global markets.

Responsibilities

  • Define, develop, and deliver the commercial strategy based on organizational objectives, business challenges & key metrics
  • Define company commercial policy in the market in coherence with the Group’s Sales and Marketing guiding principles
  • To set ambitious targets and meet and exceed agreed targets by customer/brand and account penetration within territory to achieve rapid and lasting growth and market expansion
  • Leveraging a strong existing network of retailers and wholesalers in the industry and further building business relationships with optical accounts to increase sales’ revenue
  • Ensure outstanding knowledge of company products, clinical and technical information, product strategy, market and commercial positioning and brand messages to increase the company’s visibility and recognition to professionals and end-users
  • Sound knowledge and ability to confidently deliver presentations to convey companies unrivalled core competencies and competitive edge in both their unique manufacturing technology and customer care experiences
  • To regularly review with all customers their business, product mix and supplier preferences promoting the company as first choice

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree from reputed University
  • A seasoned sales or key account executive with significant experience in a managerial position
  • Significant sales experience gained within the contact lens manufacturing industry
  • Proven in leading and driving sales to foster growth and market expansion in the region
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of the industry and specifically the UK market
  • Proven in driving sales and implementing commercial strategy for profitable growth
  • Strong communicator, Excellent Interpersonal, problem solving and influencing skills
  • Commercial & Strategic Acumen: Demonstrates keen knowledge of the industry, is well respected by their peers on the management team; can relate to the challenges the business leadership are facing; Can talk about their own leadership journey and experiences
  • Strong people management skills, able to build and develop teams, drive best practice sharing and common vision within own team
