Scope

A brilliant opportunity for a talented Territory Manager to join a market giant in the animal health industry. You will manage the appointed territory, meeting and exceeding targets by selling the full range of ruminant products into veterinary clinics. This opportunity comes with a great renumeration package and the potential to develop individually as a professional.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule appointments, meeting with critical account staff, make sales presentations, closes on business and takes orders. Responsible for all business activities in an assigned territory, including an expectation of holding evening events throughout the year.
  • Interacts with veterinarians and key decision makers within Ruminant veterinary clinics. Identifies customer needs and provides solutions to meet those needs. Builds relationships and partnerships with relevant clinic staff, including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, practice managers, front-office staff and others.
  • Influences the entire practice and/or retail team to recommend and sell company products to clients. Changes behaviours at the practice level through education and impact. Includes holding technical product and medical conversations at veterinary practices.
  • Communicates broadly and often with National Sales Manager, Marketing and other staff within the Ruminant team. Communication is multi-channel, responsive and frequent in nature.
  • Completes pre-call planning, clinic-by-clinic, with a clear SMART objective for each sales call
  • Ability to understand and put in to practice a consultative selling approach, to leverage value propositions within practice to differentiate from the competition.
  • Maintains an average call rate of approx.. 35 calls (vet visits or contacts) per month (or as per published KPIs, measured over the quarter)

About You

  • Minimum of 1 year Animal Health Sales experience – in Ruminant sector.
  • Preferred NCAH/AMTRA qualified
  • Basic understanding of the animal pharmaceutical industry and knowledge of Veterinary practices
  • Potential for overnight stays and occasional weekend work
  • Results oriented and innovative thinker
