Territory Manager

Pet Trade

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and ambitious sales professional to join one of the UK’s leading Pet Trade businesses as a Business Development Manager, covering East Anglia.

This role would take responsibility for an existing territory but would require someone who is passionate about developing accounts and maximizing opportunities, it therefore would not suit someone in a purely account management focused role.

The right person would be able to demonstrate skills in prioritizing visits to independent pet stores and garden centers based on existing data and promotional offers. You will be a self-starter and able to work alone both at home and on the road.

  • Plan weekly tasks to include sales visits, admin tasks and efficient journey planning
  • Present engaging sales pitches and product demonstrations to business owners and decision makers in independent stores
  • Use the analysis of data to maximise sales opportunities
  • Report sales figures and forecasts to the board as well as to a group of peers on a monthly basis
  • Take responsibility for the growth of the territory
  • Regular travel is required so a flexible approach to travel and working hours is essential

About You

  • Experience in a sales-focused territory manager, business development manager or relationship manager role in the past
  • Demonstrable success in developing accounts and increasing sales performance
  • A strong ability to plan journeys and diary management
  • Outgoing and ambitious
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable selling over the phone as well as face to face
If you are interested in the above role then please apply or get in touch to discuss further.
