Technical Assistant

A great opportunity has arisen to work with a small, friendly and successful GMP and UKAS accredited contract testing labs supporting healthcare industries in microbiological testing. Our client are looking for a Technical Assistant to join their growing talented team.

• Comply with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to, those covering Health & Safety, ISO 17025 and GMP.

• Perform microbiological quality control testing following the test procedures set out in the various MCS Testing Manuals.

• Read and record results of tests.

• Media and diluents preparation.

• Prepare and handle cultures of Bacteria, Mould and Yeast.

• Receive and log in samples for testing.

• Operate all pieces of laboratory equipment including performing calibrations.

• Have a relevant scientific degree with some industrial or academic experience in microbiological testing.
• Be a strong team player
• Have good attention to detail
