Service Engineer

This organisation is a leading global medical technology company who operate in over 100 countries, providing innovative leading products to healthcare markets constantly looking to improve healthcare outcomes for both patients and caregivers.

The position is to ensure delivery of service (Planned Preventative Maintenance, Repairs, and Field Mod’s) at defined quality level in the most efficient way across the UK & Ireland. This position will require you to have frequent overnight stays (in-line with service contract commitments) and therefore you will require the ability and willingness to travel extensively.


  • To perform servicing, modifications and repairs (during service visits) on products at customers or company locations
  • To assist in some capital products deliveries
  • To order spare parts, single-use goods and management of samples
  • To participate in audits and follow-ups
  • To take good care of the granted company vehicle and tools
  • To ensure compliance with quality processes, both internal and external
  • To complete activity reports and record/update all activities in relevant IT systems
  • To carry out any other activity associated with our business that you are competent to do.
  • Understand and comply with company work instructions, quality policy and codes of conduct policies and regulatory requirements at all times.

About You

  • Licensed Engineer in mechanics or electrical field preferred
  • Any required certification for working in Public places and the Health field by local law
  • Understanding of Quality systems
  • Driver’s license (non-HGV/PSV)
  • Experience of managing contracts
  • Understanding of Quality Manual
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety and Regulatory rules
  • Basic knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and norms
  • Basic PC skills (MS Office, Lotus Notes)
  • This is a field-based role offering considerable independence and requiring strong self-discipline
  • Customer facing skills will be invaluable, as you will be required to interface and gain the respect of all customers (both Internal and External) at all levels
  • Availability for on call rotations 24 hours x 7 days
