Senior Rewards Specialist



An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a successful global research-driven pharmaceutical company. Our client are looking for a talented Senior Rewards Specialist supporting the Senior Total Rewards Manager in overseeing and administering employee compensation and benefit programs within Europe. You will be the point of contact for country HR for benchmarking and will provide operational and analytical support. This is a 12 month contract, based in Maidenhead with two days remote working and three days in the office a week.


  • Performs job evaluations and recommends pay grades for new or revised jobs
  • Provides recommendations on various pay actions (promotions, bonus, Base Salary Adjustments, etc.) utilizing survey sources, market references, internal equity, and other data as appropriate
  • Provides analytical assistance as required to locally execute and administer global or Area led compensation programs
  • Conduct periodic audits of data to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Support the annual year-end processes for Merit, Bonus and LTI
  • Ownership for the execution and delivery of ad-hoc Reward projects and activity as assigned by the Manager
  • Research, problem solve and respond on issues related to rewards programs.
  • May contribute to the global administration and communication of annual compensation programs (salary planning, short-term incentive plans)
  • Performs special compensation projects (acquisitions, re-organizations, job levelling, job hierarchies etc…)

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Human Resources is required. Equivalent ‘Qualified by experience’ may be considered
  • Position requires 3-5 years of relevant compensation and benefits experience, Pharma industry preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently, in a matrixial environment and work well on internal and external teams.
  • Experience of working with multiple countries and cultures
  • Able to work well with multiple, changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Able to quickly learn new systems and technology. Workday experience would be an advantage
  • Must have excellent analytical and communication skills including written and verbal. Fluent in English
  • Must be self-directed and able to handle concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
