Sales Operations Manager



An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a highly specialised dental manufacturing organisation. Operating in over 90 countries worldwide, they are looking for a Sales Operations Manager to play a key role in the continual growth of the organisation.

The main purpose of the role is to drive the sales team to achieve sales, volume and gross margin targets as detailed by budget and in line with the Company’s overall goals -building on existing and creating new relationships with distributors to develop the demand and reputation for company products.


  • Provide support and coaching to the team and to create new market openings
  • Sales accountability for the team.
  • Maintaining accurate reports of both internal and external sales forecasts and growth plans.
  • Offer leadership & support within internal cross-functional working teams
  • Liaising with internal Customer Service team and other functions to deliver excellent customer service across the globe.
  • Research, monitor and report on market, pricing, customer and competitor activities and provide relevant visit and travel reports in conjunction with the sales team.
  • Utilizes CRM to ensure sales team maintain and update all activities, contacts and opportunities. Using reports to plan activity and maximize sales results
  • Monitor sales teams pricing and margins according to agreed targets.
  • Integrate sales efforts with other sales/marketing activities e.g. product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing.
  • Under guidance, implement strategic sales, pricing and marketing decisions that will directly affect achievement of sales, required profitability and continued success of the business.

  • An active listener, who has technical credibility and understanding of the product, market place who understands the need for internal teamwork to best meet and exceed expectations of customers.
  • Deliver sales results through consultative sales approach of the team.
  • Comfortable in communicating and delivering message across all management levels in customer organisations working with sales representatives, sales managers, product managers and owners.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills and cultural awareness in order to achieve desired sales targets.
  • Able to demonstrate success and experience managing multiple geographical team members particularly achieving genuine sales development with proactive prospecting.
  • Confident and capable writer of business letters, quotations, proposals and presentations.
  • A good understanding of profit and loss calculations and basic business finance.
  • High level planning, organisational, communication and negotiation skills.
  • High level of numeracy, literacy and IT skills (including MS Office – PowerPoint, excel)
  • Ensure that the behaviour of the Business Development Team is aligned with Prima Dental Groups values, its reputation and without risk to its integrity.
