Regional Sales Manager

6 Month Contract

Scope

Opportunity for an experienced man-manager from the veterinary industry to join a leading and rapidly growing pharmaceuticals business on a fixed term contract/consultancy basis. You will be involved in the overall company growth initiatives by managing a team of 5 Territory Managers across the Midlands.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organises and controls the Company’s sales activities within the assigned region, through the effective management of a designated number of Territory Managers and Business Development Managers, applying and driving the company’s sales management processes in accordance with the it’s sales objectives and overall commercial strategy.
  • Maximise market shares, sales performance, and company profitability in-line with the annual budget process.
  • Accountable for ensuring the sales team resource allocation is in-line with company’s segmentation and targeting strategy. Optimise resources and manage individual and team performance.
  • Ensure the sales team are developing customer partnerships by selling products and services adapted to the customer’s needs.
  • Responsible for motivating, coaching and mentoring the sales team within the framework of the company’s sales excellence programme and technical requirements.
  • Manage the performance of individuals, ensuring regular feedback and assessment is provided by monthly field coaching visits utilising the company’s HR and management tools.
  • Manage the relationships and maximise the business opportunities for the Key Account clinics within the region; facilitating meetings in-line with Key Account plans and providing regular progress reports. Work cross-functionally with the Technical Services team, Marketing, Business Development Managers, KAM’s and Sales and Marketing Manager.

About You

  • Previous experience in the veterinary industry
  • Have at least 5 years sales experience with previous experience of managing a team
  • Be commercially aware of financial targets
  • Be results focussed and driven
  • Have good people management/leadership skills
