Recruitment & HR Specialist



Consult are delighted to be working in close conjunction with a leading, global manufacturer of specialist medical devices. Our client has built up market-leading positions in many countries, developing and manufacturing niche, cutting-edge technologies for the past 100 years.

Due to some exciting growth plans we are now recruiting for a Recruitment & HR Specialist to manage, develop and enhance the resourcing requirements of our client, creating an effective talent pipeline for business requirements, supporting the Retail and Wholesale business.

  • Control all aspects of UK recruitment activity with support from HR admin, using an ATS and providing Managers with practical advice on range of ER issues
  • Work in close liaison with HR Director to proactively plan current and future workforce planning needs, developing future talent pipeline
  • Identify best recruitment approach and liaise with relevant recruitment agencies to ensure best scope of applications for all roles
  • Screen CV’s and applications; conduct initial phone screens to create shortlists of qualified candidates, guiding them through the full interview process
  • Network with potential hires through professional groups, predominantly on social media to develop and maintain a database of potential future candidates
  • General HR responsibilities with a considerable focus on employee development plans and performance management

About You

  • HR qualification (e.g. CIPD) or HR relevant degree
  • Proven experience as a Recruitment Specialist, Recruiter or similar role with experience using an ATS with experience of sourcing techniques on social media
  • Ability to embrace change and manage fast changing situations, priorities and ability to work on own initiative and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail with good interpersonal skills
  • High level of initiative, organisation and personal results orientation , communication skills, team skills and situational sensitivity
  • Possess a high commercial desire
