QC Lab Technician



My client is an established global pharmaceutical manufacturer who is looking to hire two Laboratory Technician’s to join their QC Department, based at Bridgend.

You will be responsible for conducting testing procedures during manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards. To work as part of a quality team supporting and delivering on key metrics including safety and production. Involves shift operation covering a variety of processes, procedures, and equipment to produce a range of Food Safety products.


  • Testing liquids via pipetting.
  • Working in a clean room environment with a small QC team but surrounded by a larger production team. The production team may look to them for guidance; therefore they need to have a knowledge of QC systems.
  • Complete work and documentation to standards of compliance designated by external Regulatory bodies and internal Company procedures.
  • Investigate atypical results using basic problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to suggest improvements and generate ideas.
  • Have a good attendance and time keeping record in accordance with general working practices of the department.

About You

  • Preferably 1 to 3 years’ experience of working in a quality environment
  • Understanding of quality systems
  • Previous pipetting experience required
  • Previous manufacturing environment would be an advantage
  • Communicate well with people at all levels
  • Good team worker
  • Able to work alone
  • Good analytical skills
  • Basic IT skills e.g. MS Word, Excel
  • Works well in a changing and challenging environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and follows instructions precisely
  • Working shifts essential
