Responsibilities

Working across a diverse network of internal and external stakeholders and in parallel with the wider marketing function, the role will play a significant part in delivering the businesses growth aspirations, through the development of a surgical instrumentation range and a market leading proposition, which combines products technologies and services, enhancing the brand and its standing within the animal health industry.

  • Establish a comprehensive market leading surgical instrumentation product range, in line with the global corporate strategy
  • Manage new product introductions and market launches, delivering tangible, to budget, results
  • Control the product assortment lifecycle from infancy to obsolescence
  • Manage product and technical queries from both internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and manage a product database to automate product enquiry handling
  • Work with the Marketing Manager, develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Be responsible for the identification and project coordination of new product developments, working with the Technical Director and manufacturing partners to bring them successfully to market
  • Articulate and position the Surgical Instrumentation value proposition, tailoring messaging to the relevant target audience
  • Identify new market and acquisition opportunities, building successful business cases for investment
  • Support the development of the company’s international operation by developing bespoke clinical and technical content tailored to local markets and partners
  • Work with the Clinical Training Co-Ordinator to develop our business partners product and technical competency

About You

  • 3 years’ experience within an established medical device organisation and in a product and or category management role
  • Degree level (or relevant professional qualifications)
  • Experience in a medical device sector and desirably, with Surgical Instrumentation knowledge
  • An ability to facilitate product evaluations in the field
  • A track record of launching new products and technologies to market
  • An ability to articulate and influence key strategic decisions
  • A firm understanding of sales and marketing principles
  • Have experience with E-CRM applications
