Product Manager

This is an opportunity to join the largest manufacturer of flat and pitched roofing and waterproofing solutions throughout Europe. They are looking for a product manager who will be the champion for their product range, responsible for gaining focus and resource for their product range growth initiatives to drive profitability.

• Gather customer insight: understand their critical success factors, understand the jobs they do, their pain points, identify unmet needs to drive innovation roadmaps.
• Conduct competitor analysis (strategy, portfolio, go to market, price point) to identify gaps and opportunities
• Ongoing portfolio analysis to identify gaps and develop gap closing plans through the monthly cycle
• Identify, justify and lead growth initiatives to take share, enrich the product mix, improve system sales or drive price premiums to improve profitability of the portfolio
• Project management, market testing and product launches
• Development of commercial and go to market plans with commercial leaders
• Evangelising, training and equipping the commercial team with technical and commercial capability
• Be the expert - in the product range / system offer / propositions

• Business or Marketing degree
• A track record of delivering growth initiatives in Product or Market Management
• Able to influence and communicate at all levels
• Project leadership and project management track record
• Financial acumen
• Able to grasp complex technical and commercial concepts
• Knowledge of construction marketing and specification selling
• Able to prioritise and manage complexity and ambiguity
• Experience developing commercial and demand generation plans
• Able to move from big picture to detail
