National Account Manager


Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will manage, sustain and nurture the relationship and interaction between the client and its already established distribution partners. With the goal to increase both sales revenue and market share from these partnerships, communicating mutually beneficial objectives and executing aligned strategic activity. Effective use of local resource is essential so a coordinated approach with Marketing and Sales teams and activity is a vital requirement.


  • Developing a solid and trusting relationship between distribution partners and the client.
  • Strategic planning to improve and manage distributor partner performance.
  • Negotiating annual and ongoing contracts with the distributor partners and establishing a timeline of performance management.
  • Developing a complete understanding of distributor partner needs.
  • Manage & develop processes and methods to gather sales data.
  • Analyse data to identify potential areas of improvement and provide a bespoke customer relationship management.
  • Anticipating distributor partner changes and initiate process improvements or efficiencies.
  • Support with inventory to avoid insufficiencies or excessive stock levels.
  • Ensure stock levels are at an adequate level to meet customer demands.
  • Collaborate with distributor partners and other departments i.e. Sales and Marketing, to ensure business goals are met.
  • Managing budgets related to internal and external distributor partner activity.
  • Working with sales and marketing teams to ensure the highest quality of materials are being produced and all distributor partner needs met.
  • Collaborating with distributor employees and other staff to ensure adequate training is provided to ensure understanding of products.
  • Track KPIs and report on distributor partner performance to stakeholders.
  • Meeting all distributor partner needs and deliverables according to proposed and agreed timelines.

About You

  • Previous experience within Supply Chain Management/Distributor Management
  • Minimum of two years relevant experience (within last 4 years).
  • Degree level qualification (or similar) in business administration, analytics or a related field
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g. Inventory planning, warehouse management)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, relatable databases and ERP systems (eg. SAP)
  • Analytical mind with business acumen
  • Problem solving aptitude
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Comfortable presenting to a group and at all levels
  • Experience of effectively presenting to a group
