Materials Management Team Leader

Scope

My client is a successful global company that provides a variety of on-site Laboratory Services to major pharmaceutical companies. They now have an exciting opportunity at a respected pharmaceutical customer for a Materials Management Team Leader.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, pack, prepare and ship R&D samples globally ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and transport regulations (air/road/sea)
  • Lead and motivate team members to successfully perform job requirements and to meet/exceed goals and objectives.
  • Dispatch goods ensuring all relevant documentation is correct and meets GLP, GxP and Health and Safety standards.
  • Resolve or escalate complex queries from the customer
  • Participate in the preparation for regulatory inspections as needed.
  • Ensure that materials with special handling, storage or distribution requirements (such as hazardous shipments and temperature sensitive material) are properly monitored.
  • Management of open order status reports, customer, metrics and department reports, and SOP maintenance.
  • Acts as a liaison between customer
  • Ensures GxP Compliance and Good Documentation Practices

About You

  • Previous experience managing associates is required (Please do not apply without previous managerial experience in this industry).
  • Multiple years of work experience in a Materials Management environment preferable
  • IATA, ADR, IMDG and training, GMP and GLP training is desirable
  • Conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances and medical checkups.
  • Knowledge of Information Access and ERP Systems; intermediate Microsoft Office Knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and basic understanding of Microsoft Access
  • Basic purchasing and inventory knowledge
  • High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies and procedures
  • Proficient in trouble shooting
