Laboratory Team Leader

• Coordinate day-to-day activities of group of laboratory technicians.
• Efficiently coordinating daily work for a group of laboratory technicians, managing their workload, mentoring and coaching them, and conducting 1-2-1 meetings.
• Administrative side of people managing like performance reviews, goal setting and reviewing, vacation scheduling, updating operating procedures.
• Operational management of a defined set of laboratories
• Acting as the single point of contact for lab technicians
• Liaising/working with suppliers and stakeholders regarding processes/policies and plans
• Assisting with booking, hosting and visits from internal/external partners
• Maintaining/organising lab consumable inventories and reports
• Performing lab inductions for new staff and contractors
• You will also be required to provide cover for colleagues in the Materials Management department

• The ideal candidate should have 2/3 years of team managing for a laboratory/science related company.
