Laboratory Stores Operative

Our client is a successful global company that provides a variety of on-site Laboratory Services to major pharmaceutical companies. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Stores Operative. They also offer the opportunity to gain dangerous goods and FLT qualifications.

• Receive and process ad hoc deliveries ensuring storage at correct temperatures
• Receive and process stock deliveries ensuring storage in the correct locations
• Stock consumption, ordering and counts
• Assist customers through the provision of a counter service
• Clinical, hazardous and radioactive waste collection and storage
• Sample dispatch under ADR regulations
• Dry ice distribution
• Transportation and changeover of laboratory gas cylinders
• Transportation and filling of liquid nitrogen vessels
• To maintain housekeeping of the Stores and storage areas to appropriate H&S standards
• Any other reasonable request to perform any related duties which support the client’s business and adds value
• Data entry and analysis using packages including excel if required.
• Maintain records for equipment servicing and routine experiments to desired regulations if required.
• Maintenance and cleaning of a number of laboratory equipment and instruments including water baths as required.
• Lab organizational activities.
• Maintain and organize laboratory consumable inventories.
• Maintenance of point of use (PoU’s) Kanban stores by daily replenishment.

• Experience working in a similar role (e.g. warehouse, cleanroom or similar)
• Ability to be flexible and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis
• Proven excellent customer service focus and ability to work collaboratively
• Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills
• Able to collaborate with other teams and suppliers and deliver results
• Self-motivated, energetic, dependable and clear attention to detail
• Proficient in various IT systems particularly Microsoft Excel and SAP or similar stock management system experience (desirable)
