Key Accounts Manager



This exciting new role of Key Account Manager (KAM) will primarily be responsible for managing, developing and maintaining a portfolio of key accounts. These key accounts are defined as multi-practice customers and the key account manager will work alongside the TSMs already involved in the accounts to develop offerings and services to these customers. The Key Account Manager will also focus on winning new accounts in this growing sector.

You will be targeted on increasing sales in these multi-practice customers, across our full-service business, through building relationships with key stakeholders and regular business development meetings.

This role involves working with all departments of the business to develop new innovative systems and ideas to support and develop our customers. You will also be responsible for building relationships with key suppliers.


  • Build a vision for our customer journey from one practice to 20 and develop a strategy that will both support and help our customers as they grow.
  • Develop an added value toolkit that meets the needs of the customer, that can be understood and delivered by the TSMs (with training) and internal teams
  • Establishes professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Develop training programmes and plans to assist TSMs in the day to day management of these accounts
  • Introduce Business Solutions, equipment, service contracts and specialties and their advantages to assigned customers
  • Work with other departments to develop specific procedures for this customer group
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
  • Understands contracted agreements and financial arrangements in place with the customer and ensures these are upheld and maintained by the wider business, to include scheduled meetings/agendas/actions and minutes for distribution within the business and all key objectives in the assigned accounts
  • Works with existing account management processes and strives to deliver further value
  • Proactively leads a joint company-key account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones over a one and three-year period to deliver the ‘Multi Practice Market’s’ strategic goals.
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel
  • Monthly reporting for Special Markets Director / Sales Director

About You

  • Graduate calibre ideally in Business Studies related subjects
  • Sales background and understanding of the dental industry
  • Strong account management and relationship building skills
  • Comprehensive competence in business writing/reporting/numerical analysis
  • Experience of managing accounts
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Strong communicator with both external and internal TSM’s.
  • Strong desire to make a difference in a growing division
