Key Account Manager

Remote (UK)

Scope

Consult is in collaboration with a global research-driven animal health company who research, develop, manufacture and supply vaccines, pharmaceutical medicines and other animal health products.

Our client are currently recruiting for a Key Account Manager for their companion animal function, reporting to the Head of Key Accounts and support the business’ continued success and growth. This role will require the successful candidate to work remotely, with limited travel throughout the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales and profitability goals for all Key Accounts
  • Develop and maintain effective relations with KAM management, administrative and KOL’s with all Key Accounts
  • Assess full potential of the account and define growth opportunities
  • Understand and support with regards to pressures, challenges facing KOL’s within the Key Account
  • Managing the development and effectiveness of joint value creation through the understanding of unmet needs and aligning with our organisational capabilities and priorities
  • Collaboration and partnering with the account to provide mutual growth for the company and the account through active and transparent account planning.
  • Create clear and concise documentation relating to agreed actions and ensure these are shared with all internal stakeholders including Franchise Management.
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts to ensure transparency to the key internal stakeholders
  • Ensure that sales opportunities are maximized across the total product portfolio
  • Ability to create a long term view of the account to deliver an innovative, dynamic sales plan
  • Stay connected and informed with regards to competitors and ensure that the company are positioned to offer a more attractive and profitable option
  • Monitor and maximise all investments and measure and report on ROI
  • Be able to work in a matrix organisation and develop relationships with internal partners including customer service, supply chain, marketing and research and development

About You

  • Sales experience, proven track record in delivering commercial results
  • Intermediate or advanced IT skills
  • Comfortable in creating and delivering presentations to a high standard
  • Strong communication skills in order to build relationships both internal and external stakeholders
  • Effective and dynamic commercial awareness
