Key Account Manager


An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a disruptive manufacturer of surgical ophthalmic instruments, they are looking to take on a Key Account Manager to support the growth of the business. Working with both private and NHS customers, this role will involve strategic account management and will give you the opportunity to work on international projects.


  • Develop a maintenance and growth strategy for the accounts assigned to you, and build strong and positive relationships with the customers.
  • Specifically, identify the Stakeholders in these accounts, develop and maintain robust mutually beneficial relationships / commercial agreements.
  • Capture and record Stakeholder Details in the CRM system
  • Look for opportunities to expand the product portfolio with current Key Accounts.
  • Search for and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Take an active part in Marketing campaigns by contributing to strategy meetings, identifying stakeholders and target customers, and following up on Communications / promotional activity.
  • Coordinate customer trials of new and existing products and deliver appropriate information and training for the end users of the products.

About You

  • A minimum of ten years sales experience within the medical products/devices market.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience managing Key Accounts.
  • Able to provide evidence of proven sales history and Key Account Management within the medical sales sector.
  • Computer and IT literate, a confident user of Microsoft Office software.
  • Familiar and proficient using CRM / ERP databases
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ideally three years + sales experience within the ophthalmic market.
