Key Account Manager, Diagnostics

Scope

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a growing company that develops, manufacturers and distributes premium molecular diagnostic products that aid in the diagnosis of human diseases and biomedical research. Whilst also being a leader within the development, manufacturing and sales of medical imaging systems and biopsy devices as well as surgical and treatment products, with an emphasis on serving the healthcare needs of women. Their business is dedicated to impacting the lives of people across the globe through the early detection of disease, improving diagnostics, and less invasive treatments.

Due to the continuous growth and acquisition, we now have a requirement for a Key Account Manager (KAM) to join the business in Switzerland on a permanent basis.

As a Key Account Manager for Diagnostics, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets in the Southern Switzerland market. This position will encompass all of our diagnostic products, including molecular and cytology products.

We are on the search for an individual that is ambitious and driven, that knows how to create sales plans to identify and develop key accounts for long term sales growth. A key skill that is essential for this role is being a natural communicator, able to build meaningful relationships with customers and become a trusted advisor.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own regional plan in line with revenue and growth commitments.
  • Manage tender bids, submissions and negotiations in their region.
  • Deliver quarterly/annual budget expectations and management of revenue as required in line with the national plan.
  • Is self-directed in working with their team to meet and exceed business objectives.
  • Assures their sales team meets the business need of customer not just the sales of the product.
  • Collaborates with other team members and other resources to achieve desired customer outcomes.
  • Understands customers and company’s business and financial drivers to assist sales team in developing business solutions.
  • Working autonomously to manage complex sales activities with senior customer stakeholders (management, clinician, finance, procurement and commissioning).
  • Ensures sales team are current on the health care field, competitive products, legislation and relevant disease states.
  • Builds and leverages relationships at all levels and networks both internally and externally to achieve desired results.
  • Anticipates and navigates situational resistance within their region to new ideas or business development efforts to gain agreement/acceptance.

About You

  • 5+ years of successful (diagnostic) sales experience and a understanding of Molecular Biology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French, German & English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with SalesForce CRM and Oracle ERP systems
  • Travel: 90%
