Junior Service Technician



This is an opening for you to join an established business who offer training and development as well as overtime opportunities, with potential progression available. This position would be ideal for somebody looking to kick start their career in Medical Devices and Engineering, suitable for a recent graduate with an Engineering Degree.


  • To clean and disinfect used rental products
  • To prepare, test, condition and package products for delivery to customers in line with all process and policy requirements
  • To carry out assessment of failures, malfunctions and carry out repairs
  • To report the need for spare parts to the local manager or supervisor
  • Taking receipt of used or returned products
  • Assisting with delivery and installation of ready for use products to customers
  • Assisting with collection of dirty or failing products from customers
  • Ordering spare parts, single-use goods or consumables when requested by local management
  • Managing samples and products used for demonstrations or trials
  • Compliance with all requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Special emphasis regarding compliance with all infection control, cleaning routines and related process requirements within the workplace.
  • Actively reporting any safety issues or concerns related to the workplace
  • Applying for and receiving a signed, dated and authorised Time Limited Exception (TLE) before deviating from any requirement of the Quality Management System
  • Reverting to the original Quality Management System requirements immediately prior to the expiry of any applicable Time Limited Exception for which no approved resolution has been received.

About You

  • Mechanical, electrical or electronics background preferred
  • A full UK Driver’s license
  • Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety rules
  • Good command of the local language in the country of employment: Good reading skills are essential
  • To be available for call out and shift rotations according to the schedule as determined by the local management team
