Head of NAM Marketing - Dental

Our client is a global leader of oral care who are on a mission to improve the quality of oral care for all with the goal of creating a drill-free future for the next generation, being labelled to have the biggest innovation since the clear aligner. With a strong customer base already established through a direct to consumer model and being featured in the like of Vogue, GQ, Men’s Health and many other media outlets, they are now looking to establish a B2B team throughout North America.

They’re looking to expand their team with a Head of NAM Marketing which covers their Boston Territory. This position requires constant alignment with Sales Leadership, Sales Operations, Education, Finance and Legal to effectively target, negotiate and establish mutually beneficial contacts. This role is focused on new business acquisition whilst also growing existing accounts.


  • Leadership - Coaching, developing and recruitment of the Professional Sales Team
  • Strategic Thought Leadership – Responsible for execution of the sales strategy with effective use of KPI’s, Performance Management, Marketing Campaigns, and effective communication of sales force key priorities and focus.
  • Develops and implements sales objectives including sales volume, cost of sales, and profitability.
  • Business Strategy – Analyses Sales and Marketing data and translates insights into key strategies and tactical plans.
  • Sales Excellence - Ensures accurate forecasting of annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams and monitors actual results to evaluate performance to target. Defines and implements measures to continuously improve sales results (growth, profit margins, and productivity).
  • Regularly reviews the sales team results and performance and defines adequate measures to continuously improve the team’s ability to perform at high level are met through development of the sales force capability.
  • Works closely with Marketing and Education to develop marketing and education strategies as well as support respective strategies with sales campaigns.
  • Monitors the sales team’s technical and skills, capabilities and competencies and defines innovative measures to ensure industry leading and comprehensive technical skills and capabilities of the sales force
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting client relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Establish a selling process that will include all necessary functional area representation, including, but not limited to Sales, Marketing, Education, Legal, Finance, and the Lead Team.
  • Execute, measure, and review the progress of business plans, make recommendations for improvement and document proven success models for distribution within territory, region, area, and organization.
  • Identify and participate in trade shows to ensure proper exposure to increase the potential for long term relationships with customers.

About You

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience
  • Extensive experience within a Sales Director/Senior Sales Management role with proven commercial success
  • Dental or medical device experience preferred
  • Proven experience and successes in a customer facing role
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dotted line environment
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
  • Experienced hunter of commercial opportunities with ability to articulate and action lead generation right through the sales cycle
  • Strength in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Effective leadership and executive level relationship building skills.
  • Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, human relations, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong influence skills and ability to work cooperatively with others in a highly matrixed environment.
