Field Service Engineer

There is an exciting opportunity for an innovative global company looking to hire a talented individual that manufactures medical imaging systems, surgical products, and diagnostic products for women around the world. In light of the rapid growth of the business, we are currently recruiting a Field Service Engineer to join a local team that covers diagnostic equipment throughout London. When repairing and maintaining the products on customer sites, the role of a field service engineer plays an essential role in providing first-class customer service.

Additionally, we are looking for people with engineering experience (electric/mechanical) preferably within the medical device industry, who are comfortable traveling to support customers and who enjoy troubleshooting and finding solutions. The successful candidate would cover the Mammography, X-ray imaging and Molecular Diagnostic Equipment across London.

Furthermore, the job entails high-quality service for hardware and/or software products, including installation, repair, maintenance, and enhancement. The diagnostic equipment will also be included with appropriate training.

• Provide emergency service and repairs using troubleshooting skills in electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Install instruments at customer sites
• Plan and complete Preventative Maintenance on time
• Liaise with customer IT departments and assist with information systems installations and troubleshooting
• Support marketing activities such as exhibitions
• Maintain up to date training on products and compliance as required
• Routinely complete administrative work, such as but not limited to: Time Reports, Expense Reports, Equipment Site Assessments, Inventory Reports, Internal Laboratory Reports, Equipment Checklists and Field Service Reports
• Provide basic use\maintenance training to customers
• Perform duties and responsibilities with autonomy in a field-based environment

• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
• Experience working in similar/comparable customer-based or laboratory environment
• Effective Time Management Skills
• Ability to accurately diagnose issues as described over the phone by Field Service Engineers/customers
• Proficient use of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Proficient use of diagnostic instrumentation and equipment such as DVMs, Oscilloscopes, etc.
• Basic knowledge of network and interfacing with the ability to progress though training
• Following training use of various troubleshooting/analysis tools (Tiny Click, Macros, Data Acquisition, etc.)
