Field Service Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented individual who is interested in joining an innovative global company that manufactures medical imaging systems, surgical products, and diagnostic products for women around the world. In light of the rapid growth of the business, we are currently recruiting a Field Service Engineer to join a local team that covers diagnostic equipment throughout Córdoba, Andalusia, (Spain). When repairing and maintaining products on customer sites, field service engineers play an important role in providing first-class customer service.

Additionally, we are looking for people with engineering experience (electric/mechanical) preferably within the medical device industry, who are comfortable traveling to support customers and who enjoy troubleshooting and finding solutions.

The job entails high-quality service for hardware and/or software products, including installation, repair, maintenance, and enhancement. The diagnostic equipment will also be included with appropriate training.


  • Provide emergency service and repairs using troubleshooting skills in electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems. With appropriate training this will include complex laboratory diagnostic equipment and medical imaging equipment
  • Install instruments at customer sites
  • Plan and complete Preventative Maintenance on time
  • Liaise with customer IT departments and assist with information systems installations and troubleshooting
  • Support marketing activities such as exhibitions
  • Maintain up to date training on products and compliance as required
  • Routinely complete administrative work, such as but not limited to: Time Reports, Expense Reports, Equipment Site Assessments, Inventory Reports, Internal Laboratory Reports, Equipment Checklists and Field Service Reports
  • Provide basic use/maintenance training to customers
  • Perform duties and responsibilities with autonomy in a field-based environment

About You

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Experience working in similar/comparable customer-based or laboratory environment
  • Effective Time Management Skills
  • Ability to accurately diagnose issues as described over the phone by Field Service Engineers/customers
  • Proficient use of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proficient use of diagnostic instrumentation and equipment such as DVMs, Oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of network and interfacing with the ability to progress though training
