Farm Sales Account Manager

Scope

An excellent opportunity has arisen to progress your career with one of the world’s leading animal health companies who develop a diverse portfolio of animal health medicines and vaccines. To strengthen their current team, the business is looking to expand their farm specific services sales team. Contributing to the overall business success, the role will require the development of long-term partnerships with existing farm customers with the end of result of increasing sales growth and market share for the designated product lines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain farm account plans in collaboration with Business Consultants, ABMs and Veterinarians
  • Maintain a significant level of expertise with the evolving product line, competition and industry trends
  • Ensure CRM systems are updated whilst analyzing actual/potential growth opportunities
  • Develop productive long-term relationships with farmers based on high quality account plans and establish touchpoints for the farm customers with various stakeholders
  • Deliver call activity in accordance with agreed KPI’s to identify target customers
  • Ensure clear and specific objectives for each individual call
  • Deliver relevant marketing messages that are consistent in relation to the solution selling model and identify new customer opportunities to achieve positive results
  • Maintain high standards of business conduct and compliance adhering to all values and regulations
  • Maintain accurate CRM and manage allocated customer support budget

About You

  • Previous experience as a field sales representative from direct-farm capital equipment sales e.g. dairy robotics
  • Experience of dairy economics/ dairy consultancy, farm management systems/ data
  • Experience working within a customer focused role
  • Exceptional sales ability and ability to build strong and effective relationships
  • A strong focus on planning and the balance of tactical planning
  • Drive and resilient with a persistent attitude
  • Effective stakeholder management with a confident and likeable manner
  • Sales qualifications are desirable
  • Current passport and valid driving license
  • IT literate
