Responsibilities

  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • Develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with key accounts to accomplish organic growth and long-term company objectives
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships, by researching and source potential clients
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics
  • Collaborating with sales team to maximize profit by up-selling or cross-selling
  • Meet quarterly and annual sales/gross margin targets and instrument placements
  • Manage and supervise customers' services through quality checks and any kind of appropriate follow-up
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up and adherence to goals (CRM)
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
  • Monitor and report competitors' activity and competitors' products
  • Coordinate with staff to accomplish the work required to close sales and to guarantee a high-quality field service

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or economic discipline or equivalent
  • Experience in a Medical Laboratory environment (at least 5 years)
  • Proven experience in key account management and in consultative selling
  • Strong analytical skills to understand and adjust to trends and market dynamics
  • Ability to plan and execute in efficient manner (i.e. expense reporting, sales analytics reports)
  • German native speaker or equivalent; proficient in English – spoken and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products for word processing, sales analysis and reporting, and creation of presentations (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
