Dental Field Service Engineer

Scope

A highly desirable market leading organisation operating within the dental industry, known for their inclusive and supportive culture. We are looking to add an experienced Dental Field Service Engineer to their team in the South West of the UK. Region to be dictated by the candidate’s location.

Our client operates as a leading company within the dental industry globally with presence in many countries. They are a well-known and established brand, with a highly successful and large UK team. Responsibilities

  • Install or service equipment for customers by working with the dentist and other team members.
  • Install equipment according to drawings agreed by the customer. Use tools for assembly, fixing, electrical wiring and plumbing, etc.
  • Ensure the equipment functions correctly by checking for leaks, noises, etc, during operation.
  • Install or service dental equipment to manufacturers specifications, to pre-installed services provided by others.
  • Install or service equipment to the highest possible standard within the allocated time period.
  • Install into new / existing equipment secondary devices.
  • Follow all installation instructions to provide total customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate installed equipment so the customer understands and is happy with its operation.
  • Leave the working site clean and tidy wherever possible.
  • Always behave as a good ambassador of the company, so the customer will be happy to do further business.
  • Liaise between Installation Supervisor, Salesperson and Customer to resolve any unclear issues.
  • Maintain good records of installations / Company equipment, tools, car, phone.
  • Undertake cabinetry modifications / manufacturer’s warranty work.

About You

  • Must have experience in field-based engineering specifically with dental treatment centres, compressors, suction pumps.
  • Ideally a relatable degree in engineering, electrical or mechanical or other relevant qualification. Basic numeracy and literacy.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems, x-rays, air and water systems.
  • Strong customer interpersonal skills.
