Customer Service Representative

Scope

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a highly specialised dental manufacturing organisation. Operating in over 90 countries worldwide, they are looking for a Customer Service Representative to play a key role in the continual growth of the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • The role holder will have an enthusiasm, a passion for and an interest in our customers whilst working in a fast paced environment.
  • The interpersonal skills necessary to sustain effective relationships on behalf of the business with our customers and any other external bodies through a culture of customer satisfaction.
  • Will build and maintain strong working relationships with our customers including daily communications by telephone and email to ensure that customer orders are accepted and progressed to the point of delivery.
  • Likes to patiently attentively listen to customers and deals with any customer service issues. Ensuring that all customer requirements are met in line with company goals for delivery of cost, high quality products and by offering a positive timely solution to each scenario.
  • Will have a strong command of customer service expectations and have a good knowledge that can be critical for offering quick and accurate assistance to our customers.
  • Undertake regular communication with assigned customers via phone, video call and email, as required.
  • Participate in regular customer meetings e.g. weekly updates and quarterly account reviews.
  • Proactively communicate to customers regarding open order status and delivery schedules.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure coordination of production and shipping to meet customer requirements, including assisting with customer complaints

About You

  • Must have strong verbal and professional written skills, with the ability to think laterally in a calm and methodical manner.
  • The written and oral communication skills necessary to initiate and respond to correspondence with customers. Expresses passion and enthusiasm within the role.
  • Must be confident, assertive and an empathetic communicator, and have effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers. A natural desire to help people.
  • Essential experience of working with an international customer base and able to liaise with customers taking into consideration multiple cultural differences.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of customer service charter principles, clearly focused on achieving results through outstanding customer service and effective team working.
  • Preferable to have at least 2-4 years proven Customer Service/Customer Account experience within a manufacturing environment (preferably make-to-order, FMCG/Pharma).
  • Experience of working with an international customer base and therefore an understanding of export paperwork requirements is desirable.
  • Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness, with excellent listening skills when engaging with customers.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and time management skills, highly organised and exhibit self-motivation and team working.
  • Problem solving skills and the willingness to take ownership of problems, giving a balanced approach to customer service.
  • Has good persuasive skills.
  • Adaptable to change and willing to embrace new ideas and processes as well as make recommendations on ‘being better’.
