Scope

An excellent opportunity to develop your career with a leading global veterinary pharmaceutical business. This newly created Commercial L&D Manager role will be focussed on embedding a sustainable commercial learning strategy that optimises net sales, drives market share gains and increases profit year on year for the organisation. You will be required to work in collaboration with all functions responsible for business excellence and sales force effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial training focussed on existing products and solutions as well as specific attention to new launches to optimise the company’s sales effectiveness and return on marketing investment
  • Work in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders to establish the appropriate competency framework for all commercial roles with a strong focus to develop the skills of our Key Account Management and Solution Selling teams
  • Partner with subject matter experts and resources, both internally and externally, to implement and deploy commercial learning solutions
  • Act as the main trainer and ambassador for all the companies’ commercial learning and development programmes
  • Be responsible for updating, adapting and implementing training to address commercial needs, as well as developing a solid learning infrastructure and flexible methodology to achieve sustainable sales results across all customer channels
  • Work with the Commercial Manager and Sales Managers to ensure they have the support, tools and skills to fulfil their coaching role in relation to sales force effectiveness
  • Contribute to the budget process by collaborating with the Commercial manager, Finance Manager, HR manager and Sales Training Manager (Europe and North America) to ensure appropriate resources allocated to deliver learning and development priorities for the commercial team.

About You

  • The successful candidate will have 10 years+ of business experience in sales roles including Key Account Management and Solution Selling
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in strategic sales management, working within a management team.
  • Will have experience of coaching and developing commercial team members and delivering training.
  • Experience of working in the Animal Health Industry is preferable.
