Chemical Process Operator



A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Chemical Process Operator to join our client, a market leading manufacturer and distributor of pharmaceutical, veterinary, healthcare and food products for the animal health industry.

We’re looking for a self motivated, flexible and positive individual with GMP awareness from working in food, FMCG or pharma. Reporting to the production manager you will be given full comprehensive training.


You'll make sure the QAD system has correct and consistent production data, as well as appropriate production inventory levels. You’ll consistently meet weekly scheduled work order demands and following training, contribute to gaining the best cyclic planning expertise to promote optimum optimization in the CPO area. You will also assist the production manager in determining the most efficient work cycle whilst working to GMP.

Training and further responsibilities are below:

  • Full set up & operation of impregnation room.
  • Liquids/shampoo Mixing - NF Liquid, SP filler, mixing tanks, liquid transfer pumps, freestanding mixer, permethrin drops decanting pump and sum pumps.
  • Powder Mixing - Auger, hopper and hoist, powder mixing tank 3 (medicinal), tank 2 (HH), tank 1 (Ant). Permethrin conc mixer.
  • Production of bulk materials
  • Adhering to Batch Processing Records (BPR)
  • Detailed and accurate record keeping in line logs and GMP records
  • H&S aspects of chemical handling, including COSHH recommendations and requirements

About You

You should demonstrate proven experience of GMP and documentation control, as well as the ability to follow SOP, SOI, and BPR regulations.

Experience in a chemical or food manufacturing FMCG environment would be highly desirable. Self-motivated with a can-do attitude and a positive outlook.

As the role can include some lifting of up to 25kg’s, you need to be capable of achieving manual lifting, twisting, bending without any medical restrictions.

There is a flexibility required in working hours as due to production spikes you could be asked to work an afternoon shift
