Business Unit Commercial Manager

Scope

We are proud to be working with a market-leading hearing device manufacturer who have forged a reputation as a world leader; developing innovative hearing care solutions on a global platform. Not just a company that makes products, a team on a mission to help people experience the joy of sound.

We are now looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to drive the growth of the UK & Ireland business unit, establishing the company as a key player in the hearing communications market.

You will direct all strategic planning for the UK & ROI communications markets, reporting into the Sales Director, you’ll be empowered to take ownership, to grow and to thrive, in a place where taking accountability is celebrated and you can rely on colleagues delivering their best.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for delivery of sales targets and forecast within all product related channels
  • The overall management and sales delivery of owned distributor businesses and any future acquisitions of a similar nature
  • Working collaboratively with our internal teams on product education, demand creation, lead conversion and the formulation of credible plans and visions into future strategies
  • Direct and control the UK & Irish communication operation, including Sales, Marketing, Training and Customer Service
  • Development and successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies
  • As an ambassador to the industry you will promote hearing health and hearing education in conjunction with products and services in the UK and Irish market
  • Consider investment opportunities and how they could be intergrade into the current model
  • Act with agility and strive for excellence as you break into new markets not serviced in the UK model to date
  • Work collaboratively with the sales force to ensure they are fully prepared to meet their sales challenges, including product information, competitive comparative data and appropriate marketing materials
  • Pioneer new ideas and approaches in relation to distribution strategy, e.g. Direct to consumer and various sub distributors
  • To plan and manage the monthly, weekly and daily activities and initiatives executed by the sales and marketing employees, to anticipate future workload and to pro-actively take optimisation measures
  • Strive for excellence in the production of market research, monitoring competitive activity and identifying customer needs in the UK to help more people experience the joy of sound

About You

  • As a strong communicator, with excellent social skills you will be driven to build lasting and credible relationships
  • You will have a deep understanding of local markets and business trends, with proven experience working with premium brands
  • As an effective knowledge leader, you will be active in the development and leadership of collaborative teams
  • You will be data driven with a grounding in analytics and business reporting
  • With a passion for our customer and the natural ability to think strategically you will be empowered to act decisively to drive the performance and effectiveness of our people and business
  • As a proven expert you will have credibility with a range of stakeholders including the leadership team, team members and customers regardless of profile
  • You will have the drive to continuously improve and excel, naturally results orientated with the willingness to perform against targets
