Scope

Area Sales Manager role available for a leading UK pet accessories company. This an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Territory Manager to join a small, friendly team working in a fantastic industry.

The Company is an Italian owned Pet accessories company, established over 50 years ago and trading worldwide. Producing only the very best quality pet accessories, the company boasts a catalogue of over 4,000 accessories for dogs, cats, small animals, birds, reptiles and fish.

Responsibilities

  • Dealing with customers face- to face, via email and telephone
  • Working to a CRM system detailing customer visit schedule
  • Ensure sales targets are consistently achieved
  • Effective territory planning and customer contact to agreed business targets
  • Maximising productivity within the territory by managing customer appointments
  • Build and develop customer relationships to create new sales opportunities
  • Communicate and assist the needs of colleagues in the business

About You

  • Previous sales or business development experience
  • Work to and meet set targets
  • Ability to use initiative to develop current business and sales as well as creating new sales opportunities in their assigned geographical area
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willing to travel around their given territory
  • Overnight stays
  • Applicants with interests in pets and animals would be advantageous
