Business Development Manager

Scope

The Business Development Manager is responsible for all sales and new business development in their region, Focusing on Acute Care across company brand portfolios which includes Patient Handling & Mobility, Smart Beds, Surfaces.

Responsibilities

  • This role is covering North London Watford / Luton / Chelmsford and the surrounding areas and travel will be expected
  • Responsible for driving company strategy, objectives and targets within their defined customer base.
  • The BDM is also responsible for selling the product mix in line with company strategy, to gain maximum profit in everything sold.
  • The BDM is responsible for gaining market share of capital products and in accordance with the overall margin strategy.
  • The BDM is responsible for providing all the necessary forecasting information and maintaining strict monitoring of such information in the funnel tool, which details project, product, revenue and timings.

About You

  • Experience of tendering / leasing is an advantage.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to negotiate at highest Trust levels.
  • Clinical experience in manual handling or physiotherapy advantageous.
  • Self-management and organizational skills.
  • At least 3 years sales experience with proven results.
  • Medical knowledge is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the sector and experience selling into the arena is preferred
