Business Development Manager

Scope

Consult is in collaboration with a Global Market Leading Medical Devices Manufacturer, specialising in; connected care equipment, surgical workflows & instruments, cardiology diagnostics and safe patient handling.

We at Consult are therefore looking for a Business Development Manager within Safe Patient Handling & Mobility covering the London region.

Responsibilities

  • Knows and analyses market size, competitive market landscape and other information from all sources and develops local product strategies to improve sales, decrease cost levels and increase market share for all lines.
  • Identifies business opportunities in the sales area, develops new business through direct sales activity.
  • Meets and exceeds targets for revenue and profitability product mix
  • Presents Company and financial packages at tender bids and corporate visits to head office, service centers and reference sites.To develop a high level of practical manual handling competency (the company will support training in this area)
  • Ensures the implementation of therapy promotional/sales programs in conjunction with marketing communication, education, clinical and training, practice enhancement.
  • Identifies other opportunities in existing accounts.
  • Builds strong and lasting relationships with key decision makers and those influential in the purchasing process to enhance the Brand and Image and to maximize the success of concept selling.
  • Liaises with the Commercial Operations Manager and local technical and service teams with regard to maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Liaises with other company personnel to maximize business potential of accounts.

About You

  • At least 3 years sales experience with proven results.
  • Medical knowledge is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the sector and experience selling into the arena is preferred
  • Experience of tendering / leasing is an advantage.
  • People management skills preferred
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to negotiate at highest Trust levels.
  • Reliable.
  • Self-management and organizational skills.
