Business Development Manager

Field Based – UK Wide

Scope

An opportunity has arisen to work for a leading healthcare consumables business in order to develop new and existing business in the corporate B2B side of their organisation. The business has seen a huge increase in sales activity in the recent months which has resulted in the need to expand their non-acute sales team. This role will be UK Wide requires someone with extensive experience of selling to large corporate businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and establish new relationships with high street and grocery retail customers
  • Create strong partnerships with existing customers
  • Develop prospects from opportunity through to implementation and winning business
  • Provide added value services - staff training and act as trusted infection prevention advice expert for customer
  • Negotiate at a high level with autonomy to secure new business
  • Meet (or exceed) margin target returns from accounts
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design a credible, robust and long term B2B growth strategy
  • Partner with supply chain colleagues to create an accurate stock demand plan

About You

  • Previous success managing large corporate accounts is essential
  • Previous success building strong relationships with multi-site customers
  • Experience selling to logistic customers is highly desirable
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong numerical skills to understand and calculate margin, trading terms and broader sales negotiation variables
  • Collaborative working style with colleagues at all levels of the organisation
  • Pragmatic approach to problem-solving and a desire to achieve results
  • An appetite to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a connected team
