Scope

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for one of the world’s most exciting Medical Technology organisations. As an Area Sales Manager you will be responsible for growing the business with orthodontists as customers in Switzerland. With your ability and experience to lead a team, leading their thinking and earning their support through initiative, action and drive for results you make a mark.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and motivate an assigned team of Territory Managers and Account Representatives
  • Provide leadership and coaching your team in one-on-one and group settings
  • Support and guide your team in developing sales plans and strategies to reach their targets
  • Analyse data an identify opportunities to drive growth
  • Ensure that your team addresses customers with specific action plans and customer centric mindset
  • Co-travel with your team members and visit customers
  • Provide training in product knowledge, customer segmentation and selling skills
  • Identify and resolve customer concerns when required
  • Hire high calibre Territory Managers to keep leading a high-performance team
  • Balance short term operational needs with long term organizational needs of the business
  • Regularly report sales performance of your team to the General Manager
  • Collaborate with a network of business leader colleagues to develop new ideas how to bring sales forward
  • Get involved in projects outside of your regular scope of work

About You

  • Academic Background in Business Administration, Sales or Marketing
  • Residing in Switzerland is mandatory
  • Very strong insights & business analytical skills, experience in budget management and planning
  • Minimum of 7-10 years sales experience with at least 3-5 of those managing a sales team
  • Preferably experience in the medical device or healthcare industry
  • Natural ability to spot business opportunities and to persuade and influence others
  • An advocate for digital products and workflows to help growing our customers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and English
  • Advanced presentation, negotiation, and coaching skills
  • Full, clean driving license
